We needed a rooftop location that delivered an industrial look but with a contrast of a natural backdrop. An ideal rooftop location was offered by the YLO team and it was exactly what we needed. Our team loved the raw framework of this location and the contrasts that we could work with. With mountains on the one side and industrial containers on the other, the footage opportunities were endless!
Concrete is what I had envisioned for my still images. I was offered an array of options in Cape Town and chose the location with an incredible city view. It had such easy access, more than enough space to get all the different shots I needed and man, did that city view round off my images beautifully. The concrete floors were covered with multiple shades of greys and browns. These aspects gave my final images a “rough around the edges” feel to it, perfect!
Cape Town has an abundance of contemporary rooftop locations with surrounding views of coastline in the distance, mountains and of course, the contrasting city lines. What a combination. The location we used had pristine wooden flooring, a pool and a clean cut city skyline. This rooftop offered the angles, levels and skyline to finish off our footage.
